IDOT Disparity Study Public Meetings

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) is conducting a disparity study that will assist the agency in implementing the Federal DBE Program and encouraging the participation of small businesses and minority- and woman-owned businesses in its contracting. IDOT invites you to participate in public meetings where you will be able to learn more about the study and submit testimony about your experiences doing business in the local marketplace. The insights that you provide will become part of the evidence that collected as part of the disparity study. IDOT is seeking insights related to:

  • Perceptions about doing business in the local marketplace and working with IDOT;
  • Difficulties that businesses experience when bidding on IDOT contracts; and
  • Discrimination that businesses have experienced or are aware of in the local marketplace.
